Coronavirus

February 24th 2022. Following the removal of legal restrictions, the elders have decided to stop keeping a register of attendees, and to replace the hymn books and bibles in the pews. Otherwise, we continue to encourage all users of the premises to exercise caution.

January 28th 2022. Following the latest relaxation of government advice, the elders have  the following advice for users of church premises:

Church services

·         We will encourage social distancing of 1 metre on the side pews only on both sides of the church.

·         We will continue to encourage the wearing of face masks during singing during church services, otherwise allowing people to make their own choice.

·         We will continue to have good ventilation in church, including keeping the internal doors to the foyer and corridor open during church services.

Church premises

·         We will remove the advice for social distancing and wearing face masks on church premises, allowing people to make their own choice.

July 20th 2021. The Elders have decided that certain changes can be made concerning the restrictions in place on church premises. See below for full details.

April 20th 2021. The Elders have decided that we can hold services in our churches again. We will be subject to the same guidelines as before with limited numbers permitted to attend services. So please contact us before coming to a service.

December 24th 2020. In light of the severe restrictions and the increased number of positive cases locally, the Elders have decided to cancel services at both churches. The situation will be kept under review.

December 20th 2020. Havant, including Emsworth, has been placed in Tier 4, the most restrictive areas of national guidelines. Places of worship are permitted to continue to hold services. We will continue to hold services whenever possible, although the restrictions on travel may mean that some services have to be cancelled.

November 25th 2020. The nationwide lockdown will end on December 2nd, and after that services can be held in places of worship. Accordingly, we are pleased to be able to hold services in our churches starting on December 6th. We will be subject to the same guidelines as before with limited numbers permitted to attend services. So please contact us before coming to a service.

November 3rd 2020. Following the latest Government announcement of a nationwide lockdown, all services at our Havant and Emsworth churches have been cancelled. Activities at church and hirings have also been cancelled. The only exception is a longstanding meeting of an exempt group, meeting all Government guidance.

October 15th 2020. Services resumed at the Emsworth church on September 13th, and will resume at the Havant church on October 18th. Services will be shorter than usual. There will be no singing, and all bibles and hymnbooks have been removed. One thing that will not change is the warm welcome to all who come to worship.

Space is very restricted at both churches, so please contact us before coming to a service.

Other church activities will resume at a later date.

We are hoping that groups hiring our rooms will be able to resume over the coming weeks. Please contact us for further details.
